Local author and historian Peter Lindemann
presents "They May Have Found James Tanners Legs"
& other stories from his newly published book.
About this Event
Join us as author and historian Peter Lindemann presents "They May Have Found James Tanners Legs" & other stories he has just published in his new book by the same name.
"Big world history can be told through small local stories," said Mr. Lindemann. "Like 'Reds Invade Cobleskill,' ‘Coby Prof Killed over France,' and 'Electricity Changed our Minds.'"
These and about 50 other stories - most of which have appeared in the Times-Journal newspaper - are featured in Mr. Lindemann's book. He will discuss many of them as part his virtual program, as well as explain chunking, self-publishing, and the joys of becoming "the book guy."
In addition to his work with the historical society, Mr. Lindemann is a proofreader/historian for the Times-Journal newspaper. Other of his published works include "A Crooked Gun: The Civil War Dead of Schoharie County" and "Rambles in Schoharie County". He also hosts a local history group that meets weekly via Zoom.
"We are thrilled to be able to host Mr. Lindemann for our virtual event," said Sharon Historical Society President Ron Ketelsen. "Pete has presented programs for our group in the past and is a favorite! You won’t want to miss this presentation!
